Stories
Any solution can publish content such as news about companies, product promotions, announcements, videos, and more to a dedicated area on the . These are called Stories. You have the ability to control which stories in a solution are visible to certain user groups. Users are assigned to Groups within the scope of that solution. Groups can then be used to toggle the visibility of Stories.
- You can only toggle the visibility of stories using . The solution creators are responsible for ensuring that only personalized data is being shown to users.
- If you don't grant explicit access for a containing stories to any groups, everyone with access to the solution will have the stories visible on the .
In the above example, only users in the Managers group can see the Stories at the top of the , while users in the Finance group cannot see any stories on their solution's . The stories settings will update immediately on the affected users' devices.
Make sure you have configured Groups and assign users to these groups in Permissions before you start configuring stories permissions.
To toggle visibility for specific stories:
- Click on the story's name.
- Select the groups you want to assign access to in the right-hand access pane.
- Click Change.
To remove group visibility for specific stories:
- Click on the story's name.
- Select the groups you want to remove access for in the right-hand access pane.
- Click Change.
- The group's name no longer appears next to the story.
In the above example, the stories exposed by the news-from-accounts Jig will only be displayed to users within the Managers group on the Home Hub.
